    This is true for plants, as well.

    When soil is high in sodium /low in potassium the plant cells can burst( warm weather is needed).
    It will look as if a frost hit the night before, or the plant needs water. Just very wilted appearance. All the ” balloons”( cells) burst due to bloating.

    Supplemental potassium fertilizer can save it if the imbalance isn’t too extreme.
