Balance Your BLOOD SUGAR: Eat In This Order! Dr. Mandell

Managing your blood sugar levels is crucial for your overall health and well-being. Elevated blood sugar can lead to a variety of health issues, including diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and neuropathy. By making the right food choices in the proper order, you can effectively lower your blood sugar and maintain it within healthy ranges. It all starts with fiber-rich foods, which help to slow down sugar absorption and prevent spikes in blood sugar levels. Following fiber, consuming protein and healthy fats supports sustained energy and keeps you feeling full longer. Incorporating complex carbohydrates next ensures that the body receives a steady supply of glucose, preventing sudden increases in blood sugar. Finally, simple carbohydrates can be enjoyed at the end of your meal, reducing their impact on your blood sugar levels due to the slower absorption caused by the previously consumed fibers, proteins, and fats. By following this structured approach to eating, you'll not only promote better blood sugar control but also enhance your overall health, potentially reducing the risk of serious long-term health consequences. Remember, making mindful food choices can be a powerful tool in your journey toward a healthier and more balanced life.

I usually ear the proteins and fats before the fibres, because the fibre foods usually are the ones with the carbs and sugars in them.
