Always great information 😊
You’re so awesome Dr Mandel thanks ❤
I air fry, is that good?
Interesting. I often bake mine and then load them with Ceylon cinnamon.
Is he saying boil?! The longer you BOIL? The longer you boil, you end up with sweet potato soup!
That was my EXACT question too! Not sure! It’s either broil or boil??
Yes, he said boil.
It’ll be more beneficial for you❤
@Maria P. Still not sure… (I hear BROIL). 🤔
My suggestion is to steam them. I think this is the best best way to keep all the nutrients in it!! 💪🏼👍🏼
@Krissy Umy suggestion is to steam them. I think this is the best best way to keep all the nutrients in it!! 💪🏼👍🏼
I always boil my sweet potatoes. They are naturally sweet and I usually mash them. I don’t own a microwave because I feel that they are bad for your health. Thank you Dr. Mandell for sharing your knowledge with your followers. ❤😊
do u peel them raw or boil them first ?
@Zaggy I peel them first then cut them up in cubes and I boil them until they are tender, I drain most of the water and mash the with some of the water that they are boiled In to be sure all the nutrition is included.
@Deborah DeMarco I drink the broth (the water that I boiled the sweet potato in).
@Qrayon That’s not a bad idea because when you boil any vegetable a lot of the nutrients are in the broth. I’ll try that.
I wash,poke holes and microwave. Its fast.
Thank you Dr Mandell. You are so helpful in all the information you provide!!! ❤❤❤❤
Broil or boil?
I usually bake them in the oven. I thought boiling the sweet potato would take away all of the nutritional value?
Exactly what I was thinking too! Why isn’t baking them better?
Steaming is best method. Nutrients don’t leech out into water.
@Vee HawesLol
I love cooking them in the air fryer
Thank you sweet doctor Mandel for giving us this information❤❤❤

Hands down my favourite sweet potatoes😋 always boiling, and great to know boiling is the best option 🎉I didn’t know that! Thank You Dr everyday learning something so good to know 🙏❤️🙌
Do you just boil them the same as regular potatoes?
Steaming take s the same amount of time as boiling AND the skin is in better shape. Also, notice how Alan didn’t mention steaming them!
Nice Doc! Never would’ve known this until now. You’re awesome Dr. Mandel & very well appreciated to. 😉
