I’m a slow eater. Chew my food to fine bits. Sometimes too slow that it embarrasses me when I’m in a group.

Im the slowest eater in my family.
My brother in law can take a steak dinner and down it in 5 minutes and a McDonald’s meal or Culvers meal in 30 seconds.. In fact no one in my family wants to eat with me cause I am to slow in eating my meal.
My oler brother and older son both asked me why I eat so slow.
I told them it gives my stomach time to digest and for me to enjoy being with my family in conversation and that I can enjoy the food that I eat and its flavors.
They giggled and said make sense but it shouldn’t take 45 minutes to eat a meal.
One time my older son did a challenge and eat the meal as slow as me and see if he can eat slower.
Mission complete. It took him 50 minutes while I finished mine in 46 minutes.. He was quite pleased with himself. He then said ” Too hard to do. Never again.!”😂

  • Adlih Kristopher says:

  • Adelaida Walder says:

Just great. I was told about this a long time ago. Not because I was getting fat but to prevent stomach ulcers due to work stress.
Take your time and chew your mouthful at least 7 times.

  • 1bluerocker says:

Also, it us important to chew the food to a pulp so the digestive process can begin in the mouth by the enzymes in the saliva. If you dont, the stomach has to do too much work.

That makes a lot of sense, I’ve caught myself eating too fast for no reason then gain a few pounds I used to be a slow eater now with all the stress going on I have to remind myself and my kids to slow it down too.

  • Becky Aquino says:

Many of us only get 30 mins or less to eat on our breaks at work. It’s unfortunate, but I believe many of people trained themselves to eat quickly because they don’t have time to eat slower and properly. I know that’s the case with me

  • Big.O Broadcasting says:

i needed to hear this , this man is a blessing yall thank God for this mans videos seriously.

  • Ismail Abdelirada says:

I’m lucky. What constrains the functioning of my hypothalamus exalts the complementary effect of my hyperthalamus, and I know by now to stop eating when I feel a vacuum in my innards.

  • NeCe M says:

Training myself to slow down…easier if I chew more, drink more water between a few bites, put my folk or spoon down after each bite. Of course water before meal.
Old cowboy once told me “slow down you’ll get there faster”! Yep ya don’t go off the rails as quickly! ❤

  • Sylvia Acuvera says:
