I make my Italian grandmothers home made pizza with home made tomato sauce. We use greens like basil on top and NO REAL ITALIAN PIZZA has cheese on it except Romano and then just a little bit.

    • @amangill1752 says:

I started having gut issues and avoided food such as pizza, could never digest it properly for some reason but never had issues when I was younger. We went on a family trip to Italy a few years back and I never had issues with the pizza there. I almost started crying ๐Ÿ˜‚.

    • @usatrooper5045 says:

That’s not entirely true, there are a lot of variety of pies in Italy and homemade mozzarella is a favorite topping, there’s Italian pizza restaurants in Philadelphia that don’t put cheese on unless you ask ….

  • @pattiannepascual says:

it’s so easy to make your own pizza dough, make your own quick tomato pizza sauce. (fry a large or 2, finely cut onion, half green pepper until soft, add 2-3 chopped garlic cloves and immediately add large can of crushed tomatoes. i medium tomatoe sauce and couple tablespoons of tomato paste, bail, oregano 1 bay leaf.Mix well, simmer 1/2 hour. Put on top of your stretched out dough. Some people just add cheese but i cook my crust first until it’s done before adding sauce and cheese.Return to oven to melt.I usually make 6 pizza crusts, bake , carefully wrap and freeze. Next tIme you want pizza, just take out of freezer, let defrost, add sauce and cheese. bake until melted. you can make extra sauce and freeze in small containers just enough for your pizza.

    • @juliemcdaniel499 says:

      โ€‹@@annb8296What does the bio-engineered mean?

    • @annb8296 says:

@@juliemcdaniel499 Bioengineered food is another word for food that has been genetically modified, better known as “GMOs.” Labels are required to use the word bio-engineered now.

It is food that has been genetically modified in a way that isn’t possible through natural growth and contains detectable genetic material that has been modified through certain lab techniques that can’t be created through conventional breeding or found in nature.

Per the National Library of Medicine it can negatively impact the human body and The Center for Food Safety also points out that genetically modified food is “inherently unstable.” The companies making GMOs may not understand enough about putting different genes together which could have all kinds of consequences over time.

I would write more scientific details here but it would take up too much space. IMO with bio-engineered foods you don’t know what you’re really ingesting and that’s frightening to me.
