Yep. I was thinking the same thing!
On second look, there’s feta cheese and whitefish on the surrounding shelves. And you can see parts of the refrigerator unit at the bottom of the shelves. So it looks like this kraut is in the refrigerated section after all! And it says right on the label, “Perishable Keep Refrigerated”.

RAW is the key word. Grocery shelf sauerkraut is pasteurized, killing the good stuff. He didn’t make that very clear.
It looks like he got it off the shelf, so are saying to get the kind that’s refrigerated when you buy it.
Yes!! I just made some with organic cabbage from the farmers market!! $1.50 CA for a huge head. Looked up some tutorials and pounded the cabbage and added salt topped with water and I have 3 1 litre jars of fermented cabbage and the juice for less then $2!! And it’s sooo o good!!
