Today, I'm going to share the best remedy for dry hands. It's important to keep in mind that everything you put on your skin gets absorbed into the bloodstream and goes to the liver.

You need to make sure everything you put on your skin is safe. Many personal care products and even tap water contain chemicals that deplete vitamins and are harsh to the skin.

There are friendly (non-harmful) microbes that live on your skin, which are essential for your skin and your health. It's vital to have a healthy environment for the microbes on your skin.

Your skin's pH is acidic, and if your pH becomes more alkaline, many different problems can occur. So, it's important to make sure what you put on your skin won't mess with your skin's pH.

It's also important to focus on your diet and what's going on internally with your body to help fix different problems that are happening externally. Lowering your carbs and doing intermittent fasting is a great place to start.

How to fix dry hands:
1. Avoid things that make them dry (like petroleum-based lotions)
2. Put fat-soluble vitamins back into the hands (vitamin A, D, E, and K)
3. Don't continually kill the friendly microbes on your skin without giving them time to replenish

The best home remedy for dry hands:

Ingredients
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. (14g) raw honey (preferably manuka honey)
2 tbsp. (26g) extra virgin olive oil

Mix the ingredients in a bowl and apply the mixture to your hands. Leave the mixture on your hands for 20 minutes, and then wash your hands. It's best to do this two times a week, right before you go to bed.

  • Dr. Eric Berg DC says:

I forgot to mention to put each hand in plastic bags (Karen, my wife used plastic sandwich bags) for the 20 minutes or it can get quite messy if you are on your computer::)). You should see a good amount of the material gets absorbed. The fat-soluble vitamins are the secret.

Great job on this topic Dr. Berg. I appreciate the new information. I’m going to try it as you mentioned, twice a week. Also love your quick, lightly humorous comment regarding “The microbes are not on the Keto diet”. Love your personality coming through more now. Relaxed, confident and funny… Good on ya. Happy to see your evolution over the years.

Dr. Berg, if this video was made by anyone else online (including a lot of Dr.s) there would be an affiliate link to some product that doesn’t actually work. I’m so happy you are not a sellout and I encourage you to keep your videos pure from “sponsorships”. Keep up the amazing work and God Bless you and your family.

    • Now & Then says:

There’s no such thing as a sellout . Content creators does not make videos solely for your entertainment and deserve to get paid for their time & effort in any way they choose .

There’s literally no one holding a gun to your head, that you have to buy whoever they’re advertising rather from the sponsors.

It’s the easiest way cause of the amount of research that goes into making some videos. I will actually just skip those parts.

    • Evanna Allen says:

I know who you’re talking about!
      You’re right.

@Now & Then Getting paid makes it less likely you will get a honest review. They won’t get paid if they say they dont like the product and they recommend it

  • laura beard says:

Thank you so much Dr. Berg for all your videos and information that have helped so many people. I was wondering if you could also use the protocol on your face as well. I have extremely oily skin and I hate putting moisturizer on my face because it just makes it more oily. I appreciate any feedback you can give.

    • MICKEYCRICKET says:

Me too. Very oily skin my whole life. I don’t use moisturizer on face.

Have to blot my face during day.

You can use his treatment on your face. Prob rinse with 50/50 vinegar h20 mix to remove coconut oil.

Can rinse your face daily with white vinegar or ACV to clear excess skin oil.

The vinegar does not dry out my skin, but gently exfoliating.

    • Cheyenne Sage says:

I get blocked pores just using conditioner on my hair! There are many oil-free moisturizers and they are fantastic.

  • Rachel Thompson says:

I must say thank you for all of your tips and tricks in a healthy way. I notice my hands have improved since using glycerin and oil at night, and my overall skin is improving since taking cod liver oil. Thank you Dr, Berg

  • O G says:

Hi Dr. Berg, how do you feel about using carrier oils in lieu of OTC lotions? On my body, I only use carrier oils like jojoba, avocado, grapeseed, sweet almond, etc. Can you please let us know your opinion of using carrier oils? Thank you!

  • Elaan Bader says:

LOVE Dr. Berg’s informative and healthy videos! Just offering a correction to the recipe in the video. It should read one tablespoon of honey since he states 26 grams (2 Tablespoons) for EVO and 14 grams (1 Tablespoon) for honey

  • Jonathan says:

Thanks much for this video, cleared up a strange reoccurring eczema type issue on my son’s hands he acquired during the hand sanitizer craze. 👍🏻

  • Edy T. says:

Dr. Berg, thank you for reminding us of this great recipe! My mom used to apply this facial mask and others more than 40 years ago!

    • Michelle Pace says:

Hi Edy, did it work for your mom? I’m ve got very dry skin on my face (light reddish complexion) all year around. Was your mother the same ?

    • Edy T. says:

@Michelle Pace  Hi Michelle, my mom used to apply it just for maintaining her nice skin. Your case might be a deficiency of vitamin D, omega 3, vitamin E. May be you are not absorbing your omega 3. Abortion of nutrients are crucial. We have to nurture from inside out. It also could be allergies and thyroid condition. When I eat certain carbs, I develop rashes on my legs. Stay away from grains, especially wheat, corn, soy, also when I eat foods high in oxalates, it gets out of control.

    • Edy T. says:

@Michelle Pace  have you tried Dr. Berg’s recipie on your face?

    • Michelle Pace says:

@Edy T. thanks / no I haven’t. I’ll give it a try and see what happens. I don’t really eat sugar or carbs by default. I suspect it may be the litre of milk I drink everyday and 7 or so coffees. Okay I’ll try it as a mask and cut out the coffee and milk and see what happens

    • Edy T. says:

@Michelle Pace  milk also is a problem for many people, I did not know that I was allergic to casein from milk. Lots of people can not tolerate lactose, bur casein, the protein, is a huge problem

  • Pamela DeWitt says:

I noticed great improvement after just one session. I’m so excited! For years I’ve been suffering. Couldn’t touch things because the tips of my fingers were so tender. Thank you.

  • Janmarbol says:

My grandmother made a mix of sugar and olive oil, sometimes she’d add either lemon or apple cider vinegar to it, and used this on her hands and even face. She was in her 80s and had NO wrinkles. Saggy yes, because of her age and bone decay, but her skin was incredibly flawless.

  • Tom n says:

I’ve been binge watching and following all your liver repair video. I’m mildly fasting and following your tips on what and what not to eat. Complete 360 on how I feel. Ive still got some minor joint pain but no swelling in feet and ankles. No numbness tingling in legs. Good quality Salmon with alot of high end EVOO. Honey, lemons, garlic, celery, and boiled eggs. Thanks for all your data!!

  • Su Brow says:

Great video, I love the way you explain things. I have used organic creams on my body and face for over 30 years, I have few wrinkles on my face and hands and people say I am 10 years younger then my age! 🤗

    • Just Keep Swimming says:

Do share what you use ❤

    • Rashda Abbas says:

      Share plz organic cream recipe.

    • Shaquile Oatmeal says:

I’ve been using straight aloe vera gel after every time I wash my hands and it’s definitely made a noticable difference after a week. Probably going to take a while to fully correct since I’ve been washing my hands with dawn dish soap for years… Didn’t think it was a big deal at the time but yeah don’t do that lol

  • Ivete Camara says:
