Though healthier…don’t forget about the level of arsenic in brown rice.Eat in moderation if you must.

    • @nigel5755 says:

Cook it in plenty of water so it rinses it and reduces the levels of arsenic.

    • @michelleruffin6903 says:

I choose to stay away from both.

    • @CrayolaCoffeeBean says:

@@nigel5755cook it or rinse it in water? Iโ€™ve cooked it several times and makes me sick but wondering if Iโ€™m doing something wrong in the prep or just truly allergic to something in it ๐Ÿ˜ข

    • @missratene8087 says:

How many tons brown rice per week must a person with 1,8 meter height eat to feel the arsenic?

    • @a.healani9296 says:

๐Ÿ˜ฎOMG! Is that Arsenic in br rice a natural occurrence Or due to processing? I shy away from all rices cause I’m pre-diabetic.

I grew up in Costa Rica and ate white rice all my life and my grandma did too and she lived til 94. There are ways to reduce the starch by storing overnight in the fridge and there are rice cookers that actually take the starch away and in a sense only leaving the nutrients I believe it’s a myth that white rice is unhealthy because look at all the Koreans and Asians that eat rice three times a day and are thinner than people in the US and if you mix white rice with black beans it’s a complex carbohydrate and is healthier for you

    • @kiki1965 says:

      I wholeheartedly agree ๐Ÿ’ฏ%!!!

    • @lanazak773 says:

I agree too and Iโ€™ve heard from various sources that the fiber and nutritional difference between brown and white rice is negligible.

    • @BobArctor says:

Also your body might not even be able to break down the brown rice, it’s much less bio-available than white rice. On paper there are more nutrients in brown rice but how much you can break it down isn’t consistent from person to person.

    • @sandraatkins2539 says:

We also understand thst diabetes is epidemic on the Asian communities.

    • @queva3062 says:

My Japanese great grandma lived up to 105, and stepdad’s grandpa up to 106 — both white rice lovers and loved deep fried fish๐Ÿ˜…โค
