3:12 What is the healthiest peanut butter?

In this video, I’m going to tell you about the healthiest peanut butter. Peanuts don't typically cause health issues, but they can cause bloating for some people, and it's still important to consume the right peanuts.

Peanuts are not nuts—they are legumes that grow in the soil. Conventional peanuts are heavily sprayed with pesticides and fungicides, which seep into the soil and penetrate their thin shells. This is why you should always choose organic peanuts and peanut butter.

Glyphosate is also commonly found in peanuts. Glyphosate can act as an antibiotic and is found in many GMO foods.

Always read the label on your peanut butter and ensure it doesn't contain hydrogenated oils. Hydrogenated vegetable oils don’t actually come from vegetables at all—they’re seed oils! Also, avoid peanut butter with added sugar.

Monoglycerides are sometimes added to peanut butter. A French study linked this ingredient to cancer and found that it can increase the risk of certain cancers by 46%.

Look for peanut butter that only contains peanuts and salt. Organic Valencia peanut butter that contains only Valencia peanuts and sea salt is the best option. Valencia peanuts contain the least amount of aflatoxins. Aflatoxins come from mold and can be very damaging to the liver.

Try to have your peanuts with a meal rather than as a snack to avoid spiking insulin.

When I was young, I craved protein because it was a very small part of the menu. Reading the labels of what was accessible to me I came across peanut butter, so I would sneak it without the bread at 2-3 tablespoons at a time. Well, it made me bloated and I really packed on the pounds. I gave it up a long time ago and do not miss it.

Just shared your video on another channel where one of the moderators posted that it is peanut bar day today (3/11/2024).

Seed oils cause weight gain, more than sugar. Many people do not know this. Guess what is in most peanut butter products.

    • @disinformationworld9378 says:

      Vegetable oils cause weight gain.

    • @disinformationworld9378 says:

Peanuts in meta analysis cause weight loss. This is a low carb food.

The issue is most peanut butter products are mixed in with s—-d oils. Talking about this apparently can get your comment auto deleted on this platform…

I was introducing peanut butter into my keto diet. Within a week insulin resistance symptoms back, and gained some abdomen fat. Right on time, great video 🎉

  • @sandib9152 says:

Omg I love my peanut butter but I like the cheap store brand best. Probably the worst of it all. I have slipped off keto from being around family members too much. I’m now back home and trying to get back on track. I’ve gained few pounds and I’m frustrated about it and ate half jar of peanut butter last night. Got to get rid of stress. Ok dr berg no more peanut butter. Thanks for info

Isn’t it coincidental how he always makes a video on something you were just wondering about? Lol. It happens to me all the time. I’ve learned so much from Dr. Berg. Good luck getting back on track. I’m working on the same thing, myself.

    • @jovickers5313 says:

@@maroniali31 roast peanuts in the oven until golden brown, just s few minutes is enough, put them in my Vitamix for 30 seconds, voila penis butter. I often add organic olive oil to make of more spreadable. If you don’t have a Vitamix an ordinary blender may do the job

I eat Smuckers Natural. Two ingredients: peanuts, salt.
Not organic, but closeest I can get. I mix it with Kerrygold organic butter to make real “peanut-butter” and eat it on celery – occasionally maybe once a week.

    • @robynmatheson7687 says:

Smuckers does make organic peanut butter. That’s what I get.

    • @bt9704 says:

Same here – It’s a workout just mixing it up. I add a little Stevia to sweeten it up and absorb some of the oil.

    • @user-sp1gw8gz3o says:

I have an unopened bottle of Jif. It’s made by Smuker corporation. News to me. It’s not good on the ingredients. I haven’t eaten PB in over two years because of my new lifestyle but I do keep it just in case of emergency. The stuff last forever. 😂😂😂😂

I buy Once Again Natural Creamy Peanut Butter in 9lb Buckets on Amazon, they got 5lb buckets too. some people complain about it, but Ive never had a problem with it, you do have to stir it when you get it.

  • @suzannes5888 says:

Costco has organic peanut butter that only has peanuts and sea salt. It comes in a pack of 2 at a great price. Even as a single person I can use it all before the expiration date. I use peanut, almond, and Nutzo (a nuts and seed combo), butters in a lot of healthy snacks, smoothies, and also Chinese noodle sauces that I make.

    • @sandyborzillo8595 says:

They’re valencia peanuts too ,which is good

    • @jeetshah6554 says:

Any peanut butter with any type of salt is DANGEROUS. Overconsumption of salt is associated with high blood pressure, osteoporosis, kidney stones, and other health issues.

  • @saramarques7986 says:

I found out that what makes me bloating in fact are vegetables. Only eat eggs, cheese, nuts and peanut butter and I’m fine, without bloating nor pain in my tummy. We’re not all the same ☺️
