You can do it! I lost 45 lbs in 2021 and except for 3 lbs, I have been able to keep it off.
I did it following Dr. Eric Berg’s advice and cutting out most sugar. And doing intermittent fasting 15-16 hrs/day
I only go off of the intermittent fasting about 2 days/ month
Also, one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar diluted in a cup of water 15 minutes before breakfast decreases your appetite and restores gut health. Use North Coast brand from Costco, not Braggs).
Drink with a metal straw and rinse your mouth out very well after drinking it, as apple cider vinegar is highly acidic.

Fat burning Elixir:
1 cup of hot water 💧
1 Chamomile Tea bag 🍵
1 Green Tea Bag 🍵
1/2 Teaspoon of Ground Cinnamon
(Preferably Ceylon Cinnamon)
1-3 Dashes of Cayenne Pepper 🌶
1-2 Drizzle of raw organic honey 🍯
30-60 min before bed 🛌

Add both tea bags, cinnamon and cayenne pepper to your cup of hot water…let it steep for 10 mins or so… Then add the honey. 😊
TRUE Ceylon cinnamon does not dissolve in any liquid, even boiling water.

This is a great idea! everything is correct I would just say leave out the honey (NOT an animal kindness industry)and sweeten it with just about anything else except refined white/brown sugars. Organic stevia is my go-to and much less expensive than it initially was. Also, truvia isn’t so great because it has erythritol, and some of the recent research on that isn’t so great. But you’ve got organic agave, coconut palm sugar, date syrup, brown rice syrup~all great substitutes for the honey.
Also, maple syrup is a good substitute
I’ve tried that too and with the cinnamon it’s good. I use local honey and maple syrup when I do use it.
Ingredients
Q.cup of hot water 💦
1chamomile tea bag
1.Green tea bag
1/2teaspoon of Ground cinnamon preferably Ceylon cinnamon
1-3 Dashes of cayenne pepper
Few Drizzles of Raw Honey 🍯
I’m definitely going to try this. I already cut out sugar almost completely. I replaced it with honey. Mostly for dental health. Organic honey simply adds such lovely flavour too.

I was wondering why is ceylon cinnamon the one you recommend?
Indeed, cassia cinnamon has got a 95% of cinnamaldehyde whilst ceylon has got around 50 – 60% of it.
Therefore, I would have thought you would recommend the cassia type instead.

Hi Dr Mandell, love your videos, however I have a question, I’m taking Apple cider vinegar before dinner (2 spoons +water) and Himalayan salt (1 teaspoon) half an hour before breakfast, my problem is my thumb is in has started unbearable pain that I haven’t had before could that be caused by taking ACV and Himalayan salt it seems strange as I haven’t had the pain before, I’ve stopped taking both until I get your advice🙂 Regards, George
