Quickly Remove Food Stains From Teeth | Dr. Mandell

Brushing with baking soda can safely and effectively remove plaque. While still abrasive, baking soda toothpaste is not as hard as the enamel that makes up teeth and can remove plaque without damaging the enamel.
A 2017 review suggests that toothpaste that contains baking soda may be more effective at reducing the amount of plaque in the mouth than traditional toothpaste.

I’m thoroughly impressed by the level of engagement in this thread. It’s like witnessing a symphony of intellect.😻

  • @ciaomuffet says:

I have made a toothpaste with one third Baking Soda and two thirds Coconut Oil. I keep it in a small screw top glass jar in the bathroom, and clean my teeth twice a day. The coconut oil takes away the abrasiveness og the baking soda, and the results are excellent.

    • @ketoauntie7301 says:

I do this too😊, just I spit it out into a GARBAGE BIN, because Coconut Oil will clog your plumbing!!!

    • @leeck5491 says:

@@ketoauntie7301 excellent suggestion. I have enough problems with everything else in the house. Thanks

    • @mapinkpout4711 says:

For those who don’t understand one third and two thirds. Try starting with 3 tablespoons baking soda and 6 tablespoons coconut oil. Lol in a jar with a lid.😅😂❤

    • @deaf2you says:

I also add pink Himalayan salt which contains minerals that may aid in the remineralization of your teeth.

  • @garybotkin6765 says:

I’ve been using baking soda and hydrogen peroxide mix. Been working great. My dentist told me to stop cause the baking soda will remove the enamel from my teeth. I wrote it off as Job security. Thank you Dr Mandell.

    • @brightspacebabe says:

Eventually it will, just do it sparingly. I’m a dental assistant of 25 years and I’ve seen sensitivity due to too much baking soda. Don’t get me wrong, I like the feel after a good baking soda scrub! Just wanted to give my input

    • @noturningback2023 says:

You should only use baking soda once a week, as it WILL rub enamel off your teeth. Look it up yourself.

    • @if_you_only_knew says:

The peroxide will also disrupt your gut!

  • @DjaniRomero says:

Well done! The effort and passion are evident.

  • @warreng5394 says:

Peroxide is All You Need. Seriously nothing will get them whiter over time, and pretty quick too. Every time you brush use peroxide in replace of water when you start, rinse with water. Been doing it for nearly 30 years.

    • @divinewon73 says:

Hydrogen peroxide will brighten your teeth, but it can damage your gums… Another thing, never brush your teeth without waiting at least 30 minutes after a meal. If you eat anything acidic it, softens the enamel of your teeth and they can be damaged easily by brushing.

  • @mack10blue says:

Dr. Mandell at it again with the great tips.

  • @laveraharper9698 says:

About once a week, I put it in my water- pick and run it through my teeth. I do put it with my toothpaste from time to time, but use it with ease. I have blueberries every morning. I worked for 3 dentists for 11 years before God called me into Mission work, which I’m still very active in! I love what Doctor Mandell said, “Do it with ease.” Thanks ❤🎉🎉🎉❤

  • @Julz.n.Virginia says:

This is one good habit I kept from my Mom. My grandma did this all her life. She died with all her own teeth! 😊

  • @XtineJohnes says:

Thanks! I knew something was wrong with paying big money for tooth whitening.

  • @rosalrosa5346 says:
