In this video, I’m going to show you how to make natural toothpaste to help eliminate tartar and prevent it from coming back.

Tartar is a calcified, pale, yellow, hard substance that accumulates on your teeth. It can lead to gingivitis as well as bad breath. Tartar is made up of a colony of bacteria that survives in something called a biofilm.

Biofilms contain bacteria, fungi, yeast, and candida. Tartar biofilms ferment carbohydrates in your mouth and release lactic acid, which can leach away your calcium and cause cavities.

Many ancient cultures used natural toothpaste, but these recipes were very abrasive and wore down the teeth.

This homemade toothpaste recipe is far more gentle yet still effective at removing plaque. To make this toothpaste, combine the following ingredients:

•3 drops of either clove oil, peppermint oil, or cinnamon oil, or a pinch of turmeric powder
•¼ teaspoon hydrogen peroxide
•¼ teaspoon baking soda
•¼ teaspoon raw honey or manuka honey
•½ cup water

Mix these ingredients and brush your teeth with the mixture using a soft bristle toothbrush twice per day.

Vitamin K2 has also shown promising results in removing and preventing tartar buildup.

One note about turmeric, I found, was possible leaving an orange stain on whatever it comes in contact with, but what I do not know is, how easily the orange stain is cleaned up??
Thanks again for your caring heart ❤, knowledge, and expertise in helping those around you. God bless your heart ❤

  • @Luckybetta says:

I’ve been making this toothpaste on my own for about a year….minus the honey. (Expensive and messy, but I understand the properties why he included it). I’m glad Dr Berg is sharing this information. The baking soda, clove oil and peppermint oil, mixed with a little hydrogen peroxide. My mouth feels so clean after and the last few routine dental cleanings were quick, because there was VERY little tartar to scrape. Clove bud essential oil also helps with enamel remineralization. Get yourself a good organic oil!

I noticed a marked improvement when I was consuming large salads and a high quantity of vegetables. Limited to almost zero flour based products, no processed sugar and small quantities of meat. I ate more eggs, and small fish. But I think the increase in dark leafy veggies was responsible for my whiter and healthier teeth.

  • @danielwood6578 says:

Nice video, thanks for giving us the metric units equivalent too! Question: if sugar is bad for our teeth, why is honey ok?

  • @Roswell33 says:

I’m all for keto, but I had perfect teeth with no fillings until 38 on a high carb diet. Never flossed either. In saying that I never really drank soda or energy drinks etc. My teeth went down hill after starting a certain medication and drinking sugar free energy drinks which I can honestly feel are acidic on the teeth. I also had a temporary decline for 6 months when I used unfloridated toothpaste, still no fillings and went back on fluoride asap and went back to normal. Ancient cultures all haf bad teeth because they were ancient cultures, cultures who lived in sand also injested sand which eroded their teeth

    • @w1975b says:

Fluoride is a toxin and should be avoided always. Hydroxyapatite is safe and effective for strengthening teeth.

  • @phoenixjackson2847 says:

That was very informative . Thank you, Dr. Berg. Peace and blessings to you all. And happy health to everyone.
