The DEEP SLEEP Dessert: Eat This 1 Hour Before Bed | Dr. Mandell

Indulge in the natural sleep-promoting dessert, the powers of bananas and cacao as you wind down for the night. Bananas, rich in potassium and magnesium, help relax overstressed muscles and calm your nervous system, preparing your body for rest. The high levels of tryptophan in bananas are converted to serotonin and melatonin, the brain's key calming hormones, ensuring a smoother transition to slumber. Meanwhile, cacao, the purest form of chocolate, contains an abundance of magnesium, which not only supports deep, restorative sleep by maintaining healthy levels of GABA but also delights your senses with its comforting, rich flavor. Together, these two superfoods are a delicious duo that can help you slip into a peaceful, restful sleep faster. So, treat yourself to this bedtime blend and drift off into dreamland with ease.

Is this combo better than banana and ceylon cinnamon that you also recommend? I found the banana and cinnamon works great for restful sleep. Thanks, Doc, love your videos❣️

Thanks Doc for the natural sleep inducing sweet dessert made of banana and cacao powder to be consumed 1 hour before sleep. It calms down the nervous system and prepares the body to rest. Both banana and cacao are rich in magnesium.

Magnesium L-threonate is the only form of magnesium that could cross the blood-brain barrier. I’m just not certain how much Magnesium L-threonate (vs other forms of magnesium) is present in those ingredients. But what I do know is that bananas could send your glucose levels through the roof. So you want to exercise extreme caution eating bananas, if you’re diabetic.

Magnesium in the powder form is miraculous. It worked the first night for me. Also, stay awa from red meat… hard to digest.

I started having hot cacao milk with stevia (6 oz. drink) about an hour before bedtime and I get to sleep quickly and have been sleeping like a baby! I’ve been having difficulty with menopausal anxiety and a racing heart so sleep has been fleeting.
