In this video, we’re going to talk about vitamin D toxicity. If you take high doses of vitamin D3, you may experience some symptoms. It is more likely that you’re experiencing symptoms of a vitamin K2 or magnesium deficiency rather than vitamin D toxicity symptoms.
Magnesium deficiency is incredibly common. If you’re not taking enough magnesium while you’re taking vitamin D, you may begin to notice the following “vitamin D toxicity symptoms”:
• Irritability
• Insomnia
• Constipation
• Fatigue
• Muscle spasms/cramps
• Calcium buildup
• Arrhythmia
Coincidentally, these are also symptoms of low magnesium and low vitamin K2.
There are case studies involving vitamin D toxicity; however, the subjects did not take vitamin K2 or magnesium. In many cases, they were taking vitamin D2 rather than vitamin D3.
You don’t want to take calcium when testing for vitamin D toxicity because one of the symptoms of vitamin D toxicity is hypercalcemia or too much calcium in the blood.
According to Wikipedia, some symptoms of vitamin D toxicity are due to vitamin K depletion. Vitamin K2 is essential to prevent calcium buildup in the soft tissues. Vitamin D helps increase calcium absorption in the small intestine by 20 times.
Therapeutic doses of vitamin D can be beneficial for many health conditions. The Mayo Clinic only recommends 600 IU of vitamin D when 30 to 40 minutes of sunlight provides about 20,000 IU of vitamin D3.
Therapeutic doses of vitamin D can be especially beneficial for autoimmune conditions. Dr. Coimbra from Brazil utilizes a vitamin D protocol involving up to 200,000 IU.
If you’re taking vitamin D supplements, also take magnesium and vitamin K2. You also want to ensure adequate boron, zinc, and vitamin A intake.

POWDER FORM D3 HAS TO BE THE WORST OF THEM ALL! Thanks, Dr. Berg! Be well, everyone! 🙂
Why do you say so?
Which form is the best?
This is an overly broad statement. In my world, ALL of my clients would disagree.
U mean cholecalciferol granules? Why bad?
How about the soy oil solutions?

You’re a blessing ❤
I will not take D3 without K2. And I’ve added magnesium glycinate to my regiment
I take all three too at bedtime. I sleep through the night for 7 hours.
What’s the daily dosage for magnesium?
I prefer taking sun light every season ❤
I see, I get it.

I take 20000 iu D3 every day. It was causing me heart palpitations. It was weird. I began taking K2 and the palpitations went away. I agree 100%!!
There u go👍
20k iu a day is too much. They do it temporarily in severe deficiency cases (or to treat certain diseases (still experimental)). I read 10k a day max. I also read that the body absorbs more if it’s high weekly dose; i.e. 50k iu, which I’ve been doing.
@@Saturn57Are you doing 50,000 IU’s prescribed by your Dr.? If so it’s probably D2 which is poorly absorbed & will not work well to raise your levels.
May I ask you how much but SK you take for this amount?
@@allison471 it’s D3
I remember when high doses of both vitamins A and D were believed to be toxic, and since then the opinion has changed regarding D3.
Vitamin A is the same… perhaps if you take super high doses, like eating polar bear liver or whatever, you might suffer from toxicity. But most people are deficient, some more than others, and some people seem to have high need for Vitamin A. In my teens, I got rid of those whitehead lumps on my arms (“keratosis pilaris”) by taking Vitamin A supplements – not particularly high dose, but then they got paranoid and you could only get beta carotene (which is not quite the same, re potency).
Many years ago, after reading an article about how dangerous it was to take too much vitamin D, I stopped taking the multivitamins I was on because they contained the full RDA at that time which was 200 IU (5 micrograms) and I was also getting some from my diet. I ended up with a severe vitamin D deficiency! I only found out because my doctor took some blood tests (which isn’t necessarily a standard practice) otherwise I probably wouldn’t have known. After a few months on 800 IU, my levels were normal. After that experience I learnt to question studies, reports and news articles a bit more.
Exactly, so few people study details and seek a one solution to all problems.

Why dont vitamin manufacturers add K2 and Magnesium to a single product?
#1 Cost. #2 Choice, some will not want both/all three. 3# Marketing, why sell one line when you can sell four or more?
Can’t make money off healthy people that been said I would love to know the answer to this as well. I’m going with my suspicion
Depends on the brand, there is always K2 with Vitamin D in mine

I was taking 10,000mg a day and bought some for my 70 year old mother and we both had vivid dreams as though u didn’t sleep and could remember everything, my mother said she hadn’t really dreamed in years
Did you feel well rested in the morning?
When you say “vivid dreams as though you didn’t sleep”, what do you mean by that? Do you mean just really intense dreams or are you talking about lucid dreams
Yes!! Love my K2D3 for over a decade. My bones and teeth are very happy now. No kidney stones that my doc said would happen. Only reversed osteoporosis and dropped CAC score to zero along with carnivore diet. Great video Dr Berg.
Sweet! Great job!

Boron is also an underrated co-factor. It helps to supercharge Vitamin D by increasing its half-life and raising blood serum levels.
Funny how they scare people while never providing a real healthy alternative solution instead. No wonder they’re “sweeping under the rug” content like this. Thanks for your continuous support, Dr Berg ❤
You’re absolutely welcome!

“Experts” are a great example of ‘gaslighting’ 🤡
aight.
I believe that putting Vitamin D into milk without K2 is on purpose, just like telling us that margarine is healthy and butter will kill you. How many people have had health problems, and even death from this. We have to learn to be our own doctors, and your videos help us to do that.
Look at some home medicine books before the pharmaceuticals came to be a d you will find an abundance of remedies, even cannabis was amongst the most used herb in many of them.
After being treated for kidney stones I stopped using bit D,as was told it helps forming the stones. I started feeling so low of energy, light headed, weakness in muscles. Thank Gog for finding Dr Berg!
