In this video, I’m going to share some tips to help you look younger instantly! Many people try to look younger by working from the outside in, but the best way to look younger is to work from the inside out. A proper diet is essential for a youthful appearance.

Advanced glycation end products are a combination of sugar and protein. As these compounds accumulate in the body, they can make you appear older. AGEs can also lead to chronic inflammation and chronic disease.

Advanced glycation end products can be found in foods like ribs, meatloaf, and junk foods. Sugar consumption can also create these compounds inside of your body. Similarly, advanced lipoxidation end products are the result of fat bound to glucose or sugar.

If you want to look younger, avoid AGEs and ALEs. These compounds can cause oxidation in the body. Too much oxidation and not enough antioxidants lead to oxidative stress.

To increase antioxidants, try the following:
•Consume animals that are grass-fed
•Consume cruciferous vegetables
•Start fasting
•Get plenty of sleep

Autophagy is a state in which your body starts recycling old, damaged cells. Autophagy can help you look younger! Frequent eating, high sugar consumption, high grain consumption, and the consumption of ultra-processed foods all stop autophagy.

Ultra-processed foods are foods that are altered or modified in an extreme way. The more of these foods that you eat, the older and unhealthier you will look.

A healthy liver and adequate bile are essential for youthfulness. Bile is necessary to extract fat-soluble vitamins from your food. Consume healthy, stable saturated fats and avoid highly inflammatory seed oils like soy, cottonseed, canola, safflower, and sunflower oils.

Cholesterol plays an important role in making hormones and cell membranes. If you want to look younger, consume plenty of omega-3 fatty acids. Healthy amounts of sunlight can also help you look younger and healthier.

Aye love your first advice, Dr Berg! 😅. Your sarcasm is always spot on and you’re absolutely right! Unfortunately most focus on the outside where in fact health comes from within. Since I switched to a healthy diet, IF and avoiding everything toxic my health and skin have improved significantly thanks to your insightful videos. Thank you 💕

My first house help in Costa Rica was 55 and looked like she was in her early 30s. She made an organic collagen based soup and drank it daily. She was such a pretty lady.

  • @MarieWilliams07369 says:

Besides the wrong diet and unhealthy habits, also the more bitter, toxic and nastier people are, the uglier they look on the outside. Be kind to yourself and focus on your health for your own well-being with respect and gratitude. Thanks for this wonderful in-depth educational content, Dr Berg 🙏🏻💕

My grandma lived in Miami, drank and smoked her whole life. Lived till almost 90, died of a stroke while walking in public so an autopsy was done. Had a touch of emphysema from smoking but that was it. No idea what her diet was like.

This was 40 years ago before processed food took off however.

    • @doobly140 says:

“a touch of emphysema”. Wtf! Talk about minimizing an absolutely horrible habit of smoking. She might not have had a stroke if she was not smoking. A touch of emphysema,😂😂😂😂😂😂

    • @davidflorez1196 says:

Sleep and the amount of stress also has change a lot since then

00:00 🔄 Find older friends to look younger instantly, but seriously, explore external (creams, surgery) vs. internal (glycation end products) approaches to youthfulness.
01:11 🍖 Glycation End Products: Sugar-protein combination ages, causes chronic inflammation. Found in heated, sugary foods, affecting blood cells and hemoglobin.
02:31 🚫 Advanced Lip Oxidation: Sugar-fat binding ages, creates chronic inflammation. Unsaturated fats, especially seed oils, worsen the effect. Balance with antioxidants.
04:51 ♻ Oxidative Stress: Balance oxidation with antioxidants for counteracting aging effects. Lifestyle factors (smoking, diet) play a role.
08:41 🍅 Antioxidant-rich Diet: Consume foods high in antioxidants (grass-fed animals, certain plants) for a youthful appearance.
08:41 🥗 Epigenetic Effects: Plant-based chemicals may mimic exercise effects, contributing to a youthful look.
09:35 🍽 Boosting Antioxidants: Fasting, exercise, and sufficient sleep contribute to endogenous antioxidant production, aiding detoxification and skin health.
10:16 ☀ Autophagy: Recycle damaged cells for a youthful appearance. Avoid frequent eating, processed foods to support autophagy.
11:26 🍔 Importance of Bile: Adequate bile from a healthy liver aids in extracting nutrients, contributing to skin and hair health.
12:22 🚫 Unsaturated Fats: Prefer stable saturated fats over unstable unsaturated fats (found in seed oils). Reading labels is crucial.
13:04 🐟 Omega-3 Fats: Essential for skin health, found in fish oils, cod liver oil, egg yolk. Soak walnuts before consuming for omega-3s.
14:24 ☀ Sun Exposure: Moderate sun exposure with care is beneficial, providing therapeutic infrared rays and vitamin D. Avoid excessive burning.

I’m truly enjoying your sarcastic take lately, Dr Berg! 😅. I wholeheartedly agree with you that a healthy diet and good habits have a positive impact on health and skin from within. Since I switched to a healthy diet my skin also has improved thanks to your videos. I’m 46 years old and my sun spots disappeared, even my freckles are barely visible, better hydrated and the best of all is my overall improved health. My eternal gratitude for all your dedication and advice, Dr Berg 💕

  • @MassInfinity says:

It is all about balance Dr. Berg! Sometimes we miss this fact completely, so thank you for reminding us! You make such sense many people for their own reasons tend to ignore the mitigating results of these points you so dramatically deliver in your life-affirming content. Thank you, always!

  • @clairevinet3557 says:

Wow great explaination Dr. Berg! Thank you for all your hard work which we all can benefit from.

  • @Lise-ss8qw says:

We have a brainwashed society these days that think process food are real foods.
We thank god we have amazing docs like you educating us all ❤

    • @youtubeKathy says:

Yes. And if you say anything they will call you orthorexic. Apparently saying any food is bad is “triggering” and will send someone right into an eating disorder relapse. 🤪

    • @mike856ms says:

Yes. I see so many people at the store buying boxes n bags of processed food and are huge bodied. Sad that they don’t know better.

  • @nevastrong2850 says:

I went on a low-fat diet at 19 taking advice from teen-girl magazines. After 2 months I was tired, dryer skin than normal (I swam every day) & my facial skin turned pale gray. Not kidding! I learned 30 years ago diet advice from magazines is 💩. Thank you Dr Berg! Your explanation is more in-depth. 😅 😅

  • @heidimisfeldt5685 says:

🌻🌻🌻 Let’s grow YOUNGER, BETTER, MORE FIT, AND SMARTER TOO. Falling apart is not optional for those with goals to accomplish. ❤😊

  • @carolejean63 says:

I’m turning 61, I can raise my hand to everything you are saying I’ve turned back the years by 15 20 years no lie! I’ve always looked younger but even look better than I did in my 40’s from changing my diet and weight lifting since my 20

  • @N17sd says:

Dr. Berg, can you please talk about magnesium and the flushing side effect that can cause? I recently found out that the magnesium I’m taking at night is contributing to my hot flashes😢
    Thanks ❤

  • @karenreaves3650 says:

I have recently learned that Sulforaphane is highly toxic Dr Berg, I don’t even like the taste of broccoli but thinking it was healthy I used to eat it. I love what you found out about your cattle in the study, we have beautiful grasslands in Florida and long established ranching families nearby but no mountains. 😊 Eating vegan aged me with no collagen in my diet for my skin, and my superfood smoothies gave me Oxalate Poisoning. I have experienced Myelination in the past year from eating meat and eggs restoring my balance and my hands no longer shake, my brain fog is clearing since I am feeding my brain what it needs fat and cholesterol. My body is healing on so many levels, thank you for encouraging me to eat cod liver getting me started on the right path healing my body. ♥️

  • @Helenegardener says:

Ok! Thank you so much Dr Berg! Using your data on skin definitely helps my skin! If I go off the rails, it’s visible within 3 days… and it takes about 3 days of using your data again to recover.
